So was just checking up on some traffic to one of our sites, and it would seem that Google is playing a little trick on us.  The traffic in question appears to be coming from the International Space Station, and visiting a page called April Fool’s!

Haha,  Nice one Google!

Google Nose

For those interested, last year Google did their awesome 8 bit Google Maps prank.  We wondered if they would be doing anything for the wider community, and after a little searching it would seem that they have…. Check out this link: http://www.google.com/nose (see below).  Google have launched their own Google Nose, the new scentsation in search!  It allows you to find out what your searches might smell like.  According to Google, they used new and existing technologies to offer the “sharpest olfactory experience available”:

  • Street Sense vehicles have inhaled and indexed millions of atmospheric miles.
  • Android Ambient Odor Detection collects smells via the world’s most sensible mobile operating system.
  • SMELLCD™ 1.8+ high-resolution compatible for precise and controlled odors.

What is more, they have even made a detailed video explaining how Google Nose works:

Google+ Photos now with added emotion

Ok, brushing aside a rather old and awesome picture of the writer you can now add emotions to your Google+ photo’s with a simple click of a button.  Just open one of your images in the light box, and then click the “Add emotion” button at the top left hand side of the screen.  Google will then work out the emotions of everyone in the photo, and append a suitable icon.  Awesome!

If you find any more Google April Fools, be sure to let us know in the comments.
